History
of Fattoria Belvedere
Belvedere farm was born a long time before it could be realized because it was always a dream of mine.
My name is Marzia Morara, i was born in Bologna and I grew up in Castel de’ Britti, a fraction of the town of San Lazzaro di Savena.
Belvedere Farm is located in the pre-park ( Parco dei Gessi e Calanchi dell’Abadessa) and it offers delightful paths. The territory is rich with plaster and not so far away there is still my grandfather’s pit, utilized till after the war. We still keep the old grindstone that was once used to pulverize the plaster to then be able to sell it..
In memory of this activity, we organize labs with the use of chalk powder, creating molds that can be scented with lavander, my other passion.
We grow: medical herbs, where part of them go to our animals, aromatic herbs, fruit, vegetables and a few forgotten fruits. All crops of Belvedere farm are certified organic.
